Chairperson, 25th Global Conference of Actuaries & AGFA
Dear Friends,
I am delighted to welcome you to the 25th Global Conference of Actuaries (GCA) and Actuarial Gala Function & Awards (AGFA), which will take place from 22nd to 24th February 2026, at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.
This silver-jubilee edition marks a significant milestone for our profession. The theme, “Actuarial Pathways to Viksit Bharat: Managing Risks for Inclusive Social and Economic Growth,” invites us to look beyond our traditional boundaries, explore the evolving landscape of our profession and deliberate on how we can align ourselves with the overall objectives of a rapidly growing nation. This year’s conference promises to be all the more exciting and thought-provoking, bringing together actuaries and other professionals from across the globe.
Needless to say, the entire financial services industry stands at the forefront of a transformative era. With emerging technologies, data advancements, and newer challenges on the horizon, the theme for this year’s GCA is very topical. Our role as actuaries in steering the financial future and safeguarding public interest is even more important. Collaboration across disciplines - with economists, data scientists, policy makers, healthcare experts, technologists, and sustainability leaders is key to amplifying the impact and shaping meaningful solutions.
Let us all gather to contribute to the broader goals of innovation for social and economic growth. We look forward to strengthening our collaboration with colleagues from across geographies, industries and professions. The GCA will feature sessions designed to foster knowledge exchange, encourage multi-disciplinary learning, discuss latest trends and inspire new ideas.
At the Institute of Actuaries of India, we remain committed to nurturing the next generation of professionals defining this evolving landscape. We encourage our students and young actuaries to actively engage in the discussions, share their perspectives, and contribute to shaping the future of the profession, the financial services industry and the nation at large.
The conference will also be a celebration of our collective achievements, honouring new Fellows, Associates and recognizing academic excellence. Additionally, we will come together for the highly anticipated Actuarial Gala Function and Awards (AGFA), an evening of celebration, honouring the spirit and camaraderie of the actuarial fraternity.
I invite you - actuaries, industry experts & professionals, innovators and thought leaders to join us for this landmark event. I am excited about the opportunities it will bring about for all of us to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and together, shape pathways to a Viksit Bharat.
I look forward to welcoming you all in Mumbai and for a memorable and impactful Silver Jubilee edition of the Global Conference of Actuaries.
