General Insurance; Investment

Mr. Sharad S Ramnarayanan is a Fellow of Institute of Actuaries of India with specialization in general insurance and is the Appointed Actuary of The New India Assurance Company Limited since May 2013. ​

He is a chemical engineer from ICT, Mumbai and a post-graduate diploma in Management with a specialization in finance from MDI, Gurgaon. He is also a qualified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from GARP, London. ​

Prior to becoming a qualified actuary he was an investment professional having worked in Aditya Birla Sunlife Asset Management Company Limited in Mumbai, Pari Washington Company Advisors Pvt. Limited in Chennai and Tactica Capital Management in Gurgaon. He was also a finance professor in Asian School of Business, Trivandrum.  ​
