Nalen Naidoo qualified as a Fellow Actuary in 2007. He has lived and worked in South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States and Singapore, with a career path that has included work in general management, risk, financial and product management, as well as fintech and innovation. He has held various Non-Executive Board roles in pension funds and tech companies and has spoken at local and international conferences on topics related to Business Agility and Innovation.

In 2022, he made a career shift, leaving insurance after 17 years to join Naspers/Prosus, where he is Country Manager and CEO for Naspers' classifieds business in SA (including household names like Property24 and Autotrader), and has, for the last 4 years, been finding new ways to apply his actuarial and leadership skills to the wider fields. Despite leaving traditional actuarial fields, Nalen still volunteers in many parts of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA), and is the ASSA President for 2026/2027.
