Dewi qualified in 1988. Most of his career has been in the GI space working with, and consulting to, businesses in the GI ecosystem in many countries.

He has worked extensively in India in reserving and pricing for both direct and reinsurance businesses; also with remote sensing experts in evaluating crop health, flood and earthquake risk. He now acts in an independent capacity as GI actuary and a company director.
