Mr. Abhijit Gulanikar joined SBI Life as Chief Investment Officer on January 1, 2009, and currently is serving as the President: - Business Strategy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from University of Pune, and a Post Graduate diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He is an experienced Insurance and Asset Management Professional with a deep understanding of Indian Insurance and Investment Markets. He brings with him over 23 years of experience in Investment function.

Previously he has worked with Bharti AXA Life Insurance Co. Ltd and has also been associated with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd, ICICI Ltd & Bajaj Auto Ltd. He has been a part of the Insurance Industry since 2001. He is a Chartered Accountant having ranked 5th All India from Institute of Charted Accountants of India and a Cost Accountant from Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.​
